Welcome To The Paddleballmag Website.

We started out looking at different sports Websites. From  Handball   to Tennis.  We found ourselves somewhere  "in between". As on our "Pledge" page. "We want to be real". Real for the players, real for the sponsors, real for the Organizations and real to ourselves.

To our viewers and players that have been with us since the beginning fifteen months ago, as we stated on our "Pledge Page" our intentions. We feel we have never strayed from our commitment to the sport of One Wall Paddleball.

We followed other sports and organizations in hopes of providing players and viewers of their specific sport a different view of the game. We tried to provide the results and information and photos of the game and events from the players view. So he/she could look at the chart or score and photos and be there in the game, reliving the action and enjoyment.

We took exception to the old days, the good days as our small staff would state in many conversations. The ideas and games that each of us relived through the 70's, 80's 90's and into the current era. Evaluating  players, organizations and the sport itself. For us it is a passion. Something some may never understand. For us "One Wall Paddleball" is one of the most unique and exciting sports played with a paddle. One Wall Paddleball provided the challenge of a player serving a small ball at tremendous speeds off a wall of 16 feet high by a court of 20 feet by 34 feet. So accurately that the ball just crossed the short line. And what is even more amazing is that some players could pick up the serve and send it back to the wall for a roll out return.

Viewers and new players will never understand the depth of the great players of the 70's and 80's. The different styles, the battles Melendez, Schwarz, Sostre, Maldonado, Freddicks, and many more. There were many great singles, doubles and mixed doubles players. Their stories and events will never come to light. Like the many gladiators of the roman days. Stories to tell their children. Our job and passion was to bring this to the surface.

We attempted to work with many organizations and so called groups to get their events and information out to the players, fans and viewers. Sometimes we succeeded and sometimes we failed. For what ever reason, but we tried. Some group felt threatened by our work, while other appreciated our efforts. This is the nature of people. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Let the opinions fall where they may!

To our sponsors, we never charged a dime to promote their products and events. We evaluated their product honestly and responsibly. We never gave into promoting one product over another. We provided websites that gave the players a choice and a good value for their purchases.

Our newsletter was and is a simple one, no bells and whistles to make us appear bigger than life. There are groups that tell the world how big and how much effort they provide to the sport. When in reality they suck the very life out of the sport.

In closing we thank you for the ride, time will tell if our sport "One Wall Paddleball" will continue. We will remain true to our beliefs and sport.
